 Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that can also promote healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."
The goal of Reiki is to clear energy blocks by placing hands at specific chakras and meridians on the body.
Reiki has proven to be helpful in creating a more peaceful state of mind and body. This peaceful state can facilitate the healing process.
Reflexology is a natural healing art, based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet which correspond to every part, gland and organ in the body. Massage and pressure, applied to these reflexes, is believed to promote healing by stimulating energetic pathways.
Reiki: half hour sessions $28 and one hour sessions $56. Reflexology: half hour sessions $28. Payment is due and payable upon completion of each session. Accepted payments are cash or check only. $25 charge for returned checks. 24 hour notice required for cancellations please.
